Renowned Russian artist Valery Lednev, held a public class at the National Art Museum of China on Sunday as the latest one of the museum’s master class series. The artist first introduced the history and development of Russian oil painting to the audience and then demonstrated portrait sketching. With his skillful brushstrokes and smooth lines, he portrayed the models vividly, allowing the audience to feel the charm of oil painting. Two oil paintings from him and other Russian artists are donated to the National Art Museum of China, becoming a witness of the achievements of cultural and artistic exchanges and of the profound friendship between China and Russia.
